Sledge hockey OF eastern ontario
During the 5 meetings we have had since the AGM the board has focused on reducing fees, preparing a budget for the 2016-17 season and allocating ice for the new season.
We are pleased to let you know that we have made some progress in reducing season fees for the coming season by an overall average of approx. 21% with house league seeing the greatest reduction at approx. 37%. This year we will have incentives to get folks to try sledge, such as reduced fees for family members and introductory fees (see below for details).
Our first goal over the next season has to be to attract more players. Our biggest challenge is that SHEO has a low player to ice time ratio. Where other hockey leagues will have say 20 or more players using the ice, SHEO has 12 to 15 or less on the ice. As a result, our ice costs per player are higher. To make sledge hockey more affordable we to continue recruiting players. This will allow us to maintain fees at a more reasonable cost.
The prices per division including fees and insurance are as follows:
Novice: $450 Development: $485
Intermediate "C": $450 Intermediate"B": $685
Elite:$ 685 House league: $350
House League & Intermediate: $850
- A second family member registering at any level receives $100 off their program registration.
- $30 "Drop-in" session for any House League evening, if not registered in House League.
Never tried sledge hockey? Come out and try it! Your first ice session is free and if you want to continue, receive 5 additional sessions for $99 (plus $35 insurance). Should you decide to sign up for the season the $99 will be deducted from the seasonal fee!
